Acupuncture Medicine is a 5 branch medicine that includes acupuncture, dietary support, qigong, body work, and herbalism. In Acupuncture Medicine Herbalism, we view each body as a unique whole unit with multiple components that need addressed at once. Herbal formulas contain several herbs at once as it's the synergy and phytochemistry of these herbs working together that assist a person in supporting their diagnosis and restoring balance to the body. Herbal formulas, thus, are not given for symptoms, but for diagnosis-thus an individualized Acupuncture Medicine diagnosis must first be assigned to a patient and then the formula is created from this diagnosis to address the underlying condition that is creating the individual symptoms the patient is experiencing.
